Exercise

I compiled a small list of essentials that "I" need to keep me motivated and in the workout zone.

1. Clothes- right now, I'm not exactly concerned with what I'm wearing to the gym. It's usually just a t-shirt and some sweat pants. Though I'd like to buy the cute little matching workout outfits they inexpensively sell at Walmart or Target, and the ones I absolutely love that they expensively sell at Underarmor, I am completely against spending anymore money on my wardrobe until I take some of these extra pounds off. So for now, I stick to what I own. I usually wear plain old sweat pants which serve their purpose, however, being the heavier girl I am... I've resorted to the old faded out simple black leggings. I go with leggings because my thighs rub together, and I like that they sort of cling and catch the sweat, rather than letting my fat thighs rub together and cause the awful chaffing of the skin. It's bad enough being sweaty and hot in the summer, let alone being overweight, and working out with the same thing occurring!

2. Socks- I generally like to wear a sports brand of socks, I prefer PUMA because they have a little bit of a padding in the bottom where the soles of your feet would go, and they also have a little bit more of a snug grip.

3. Sneakers- I have a few pair, but I prefer to wear my worn out, stretched out sneakers that are fit for comfort. They may be old, but since their stretched, its a lot more comfortable when it comes to the feet swelling as they do when working out. Nike Shocks.

4. Water- MAJOR ESSENTIAL- I made this mistake of going to the gym one time without my own bottle of water, and completely regretted it. I nearly climbed into the water fountain. So I always make sure I bring a big bottle with me.

5. Ipod- this is major for me. I've filled my Ipod with some tunes that get me moving. As oddly as it may be, I seem to get in the zone jamming to J.lo, Fergie, Bob Marley, and the old up beat Whitney Houston tracks from the 80's, totally gets me moving in the cardio department.  For some reason I do weights to  Bon Jovi. I'm not exactly sure why that is... but I get a lot accomplished with this mix of music and it makes it seem like the time flies!
